It is important to note that the folding of polyurethane parts is a common and intentional practice that does not harm the material or the parts in any way. Polyurethane has a high level of elasticity, which allows it to bend and flex without breaking or losing its shape. This characteristic is what allows manufacturers to fold the parts for more efficient shipping and storage.

 

When you receive your polyurethane parts folded in a box, it is important not to be alarmed. Although the parts may appear creased or wrinkled at first, they will quickly return to their original shape once they are unpacked and allowed to rest for a short period of time. This is because the material has "muscle memory" and will naturally revert to its original form once the tension is released.

Instead, simply remove the parts from the box and lay them out flat on a clean surface. Allow them to rest for a few hours, or even overnight if possible, to allow the material to fully relax and regain its shape.
